FAA News Federal Aviation Administration, Western-Pacific Region, P.O. Box 92007, Los Angeles, CA 90009 ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE AWP-5 11-01 Cardinal Stadium proposal public comment period extended
The Federal Aviation
Administration (FAA) is currently conducting an aeronautical study concerning a
proposed multipurpose sports stadium in Tempe, Arizona. The existing Public
Notice, which solicits interested persons to participate in the study by
submitting aeronautical comments, states that comments must be received on or
before 10/07/01. Because of the disruption of
normal airspace activities and processes caused by the recent national tragedy,
the FAA has concluded it is in the best interest of the aeronautical
fact-gathering portion of the study to extend the public comment closure date
to 10/22/01. For
purposes of extension of the comment period, all descriptive data and known
aeronautical effect cited on the original Public Notice remains unchanged. Please
submit comments, relevant to the effect the structure would have on aviation,
