FAA issues a Finding of No Significant Impact/Record of Decision for Sierra Vista Municipal Airport in Sierra Vista, Arizona.

 

 

The Federal Aviation Administration has announced that a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) and Record of Decision (ROD) has been determined based upon results of an Environmental Assessment, which reviewed the proposed land transfer at Sierra Vista Municipal Airport, Sierra Vista, Arizona.

 

The FONSI/ROD addresses the transfer of approximately 203 acres of land from the Department of the Army to the city of Sierra Vista for future development of Sierra Vista Municipal Airport.

 

The FONSI/ROD indicates that the proposed action is consistent with existing environmental policies and objectives as set forth in the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 in that it will not significantly affect the quality of the environment.
